Proverb prays for woman after knocking her over

I know Proverb as a rather stand up guy and have never seen the dude put a foot wrong, not that he put a foot wrong but a pedastrian put a foot wrong and managed to get knocked down by Proverb. More after the jump:

Instead of being ambassadors of the Arrive Alive campaign, Mzansi celebs seem to be increasing the carnage on our roads.

In the latest incident, rapper and SA Idols host ProVerb (30), real name Tebogo Thekiso, knocked over a 37-year-old Zimbabwean woman on Wednesday.

The story unfolded on social networking site Twitter, in a similar manner to many other road scandals involving celebs in the past:

# Hip-hop artist Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye is currently on trial for murder after losing control of his car during an alleged drag racing incident last year in Protea Glen, killing four and leaving two seriously injured.

"Homie knocked down someone too,damn!"

In February, Orlando Pirates reserve goalkeeper Robert Modiadie ran over and killed two-year-old Ndumiso Malumisa – also in Protea Glen, Soweto.

Another case is that of Bafana Bafana footballer Bryce Moon, who stands accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and killing Mavis Ncube in Sandown in 2009.

ProVerb’s accident occurred while he was travelling home after broadcasting the 4am to 6am show on 94.7 Highveld Stereo in Roodepoort, Western Jozi.

ProVerb tweeted: “I was involved in a car accident this morning. I knocked down a woman. I’m devastated. She is recovering in hospital. My prayers r with her.”

Then later he posted: “Just received an update that the lady from the accident this morning is awake and responding. God is Good! Thank you for your prayers!”

The muso has declined to speak to the media about the matter.

About the victim, M-Net publicist Ingrid Engelbrecht says: “She is doing very well and her head injuries weren’t as severe as previously thought.

“ProVerb has been with her throughout the entire process and he is hopeful she will come out of this with no serious injuries.”

A nurse at the hospital tells Sunday World that the woman was moved from ICU yesterday to a general ward and is hopeful that she will be released soon.

The police confirm they are investigating the cause of the accident but say they haven’t yet been able to take a statement from the victim.

Pedestrians are an accident waiting to happen,I know this cause the fuckers never obey the fucking rules of the road. Hopefully homie won't have to face any charges.
