Jozi Earthquake

As South Africans we're always priding ourelves that we're exempt from natural disasters, seems we take that shit a notch down as a tremore was felt in Joburg from Alberton to Fourways. More after the jump:

Residents in Johannesburg and on the East Rand were left jittery on Monday after a significant tremor and an aftershock that was felt from Alberton to Fourways.

Dalpark and Brakpan were particularly hard hit with some people reporting ornaments falling over and crockery rattling in cupboards.

“It actually felt like an explosion more than a tremor,” said a resident.

“I felt the tremor in the morning, I was screaming and I am still shaking,” said another.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the tremor.
