Sanlam Food, Wine and Design Fair 2010

Sanlam Investment Management (SIM) is the proud lead sponsor of South Africa's first-ever Food, Wine and Design Show, scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 November 2010. The prestigious event will be held on the 5 000 square metre rooftop of the Hyde Park Shopping Centre, with panoramic views over the east and north of Johannesburg. The area will be transformed with Bedouin tent structures, theatre lighting, a 1000-seater dining area for guests and a bright red two-seater aircraft designed and built by two South Africans, perched on the roof.

The Fair will showcase and celebrate South Africa's very best in the field of food, wine and design. To achieve this, SIM in collaboration with Food, Wine and Design, has chosen three curators who are leaders in their fields. The food component will be curated by Justin Rhodes and Cameron Munro of the award-winning Neighbourgoods Market at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, Cape Town. The wine component will be curated by South Africa's most influential wine writer and independent drinks commentator, the guru Neil Pendock. And Source, headed by Trevyn and Julian McGowan, will curate the design and craft component. Trevyn and Julian McGowen are the leading agents, promoters and exporters of South African design internationally.
